Uchida Miyako (played by Nakayama Miho) is a highly popular manga artist. After ending her previous failed marriage, she revitalizes her life and successfully rebuilds her family with her son Hiiragi Tsukasa and a man named Kaito, living peacefully on the top floor of an apartment in Futakukawa. Richi Tomizawa (played by Kimura Tae) is Uchida's best friend, and they often go out for drinks and share their life troubles. Although Richi is married, she finds that she has lost the spark with her husband Itta (played by Kamichi Yusuke) and has developed feelings for a younger employee at her company.
