This drama is adapted from the novel series "Lunch Detective" by the author Mizuki Ohmi. In the series, Mizuki Yamamoto plays the role of the socially awkward yet observant detective, Yuika Amano, who unexpectedly changes when faced with a mystery. For this role, she cut her hair by 35cm and appears with a short hairstyle. Yuika will utilize her innate deductive skills to tackle ghost stories rumored within the company and the whereabouts of missing individuals around her. Additionally, Yuika's partner at the lunch party, the pure-looking but meat-eating woman who dislikes accepting favors from men, is portrayed by Reina Triendl. Their company superior, Hiroshi Kameta, is played by Yuichi Kimura, while the charming and popular staff member, Kendo Sakurai, is portrayed by Riki Seto. Each episode features a different handsome guest star and actors with distinct personalities, and of course, the "delicious lunches" that stimulate the appetite are also a highlight of the show.
