Although five years have passed since their marriage, Mayako Mizukoshi (played by Chiaki Kuriyama) remains as stunning as ever, her charm blooming. Her husband Koichi (played by Gorō Inagaki) is an office worker, and while the couple’s life is carefree, the warmth between them has gradually dropped to freezing point. Koichi is a typical "Mummy's Baby," obedient to his mother’s words, and has not been affectionate with his wife for a long time due to his extreme cleanliness. Naturally, Mayako’s heart is filled with loneliness and dissatisfaction. One of her two friends has ended a broken marriage to open her own shop; the other has a happy family but is keen on extra-marital affairs.
