Starring James Marsden as "Steve" from "Palm Springs," "Jury Duty" will premiere on April 7, with four episodes released initially, concluding its season on April 21. This series will be a multi-camera comedy set in a courtroom, blending documentary elements. It follows a juror named Ronald Gladden, whose perspective captures the inner workings of the jury trial system. Ronald is unaware that the entire case is fake; everyone except him is an actor, including James, and everything that happens—both inside and outside the courtroom—is carefully orchestrated. This highly confidential project was first revealed last September and promises to be a very unique, genre-defying observation of the story set within the jury's decision-making process. It will somewhat mimic the styles of programs by Sacha Baron Cohen, such as "Borat," and others featuring Nathan Fielder, relying on improvised interactions between James and some actors who are unscripted, creating unpredictable outcomes. James previously filmed with a group of actors with improv comedy backgrounds and real jurors called for duty in a genuine courtroom located in South Los Angeles. This was completed in his spare time outside of his role in "Westworld." Other familiar actors, apart from James, include Evan Williams as "Luke" from "The Great," Whitney Rice as "Mary" from "The Last Tycoon," Edy Modica as "Xtra" from "Love Life," Mekki Leeper as "Eric" from "College Girls," and Kirk Fox as "Kenny" from "Reservation Dogs."
