Michiko Uchida (played by Miho Nakayama) is a highly popular manga artist. After ending her previous failed marriage, she reinvigorates her life and successfully rebuilds her family with her son, Saito, and a man named Kaito. They live together on the top floor of an apartment in Futakotamagawa, and their life is very peaceful. Richi Tomizawa (played by Taeko Kimura) is Michiko's best friend. The two often go out drinking, confiding in each other about the troubles they encounter in life.
