This series is adapted from Harlan Coben's 2012 bestselling novel of the same name from The New York Times. Coben will co-write the 8 episodes with lead writer Danny Brocklehurst and Richard Fee, with Daniel O'Hara serving as the lead director. This is the fifth project under Netflix and Harlan Coben's 5-year, 14-book super contract. Following previous collaborative projects, this series will be set in the UK. The story focuses on three well-off individuals, each harboring a secret that no one close to them suspects. Megan (Jumbo), a professional mother of three; Ray (Armitage), a once-promising documentary filmmaker now stuck in a dead-end job catering to the wealthy children obsessed with celebrities; and Broome (Nesbitt), a detective unable to let go of a missing persons case. Lorraine (Parish), an old friend from Megan's past, brings some shocking news that will affect these three characters. As unsettling pasts resurface to threaten their lives and those of their loved ones, what will they do next? The cast includes Cush Jumbo from The Good Wife, Richard Armitage from The Hobbit, James Nesbitt from Missing, and Sarah Parish from Medici: Masters of Florence.
