"The Muppet Search" is a brand new emotional thriller written by Abi Morgan. Set in 1980s New York, it tells the story of a father's desperate search for his son — his nine-year-old son went missing one morning on his way to school. Vincent is one of New York's famous puppeteers and created the popular children's television show "Good Day Sunshine." He struggles to cope with the pain of losing his son Edgar, becoming increasingly tortured and erratic. Filled with self-loathing and guilt over Edgar's disappearance, the blue monster puppet Eric, created by his son, becomes his emotional anchor. He firmly believes that if he can get Eric on television, Edgar will come home. Vincent's destructive behavior alienates his family, colleagues, and the detective trying to help him, while Eric becomes his only ally in the quest to find his son.
