This drama is adapted from the autobiography "Legend of a Shandong Youth" by Taiwanese lawyer Gao Binghan. In the year of the Chinese Civil War, 12-year-old lawyer Gao Binghan followed his mother's stern advice and settled in Taiwan with the Nationalist Army. In his 80s, he encountered two challenging cases: the violent mother Hong, who tolerates her son's aggression; the indigenous daughter-in-law Jiang Meien, who is not acknowledged by her husband’s family; and the seemingly elegant yet repressed Xie Shuyuan. Gao, navigating conflicts between these three mothers, can't help but wonder: Has the war really ended?
