Sermons from old tales, lectures on hobbies, boasting about illnesses. Then there's lethargy and complaints. The elderly who spread their burdens and the younger generation who are fed up, wishing they would just go away. But they can’t say it out loud. No matter how much the old guard has to say, the younger generation just accumulates stress. Yet society urges that "end-of-life planning" should be considered early on. Those in their 50s and even approaching 60, the younger generation's children, feel a vague anxiety. These children also bear complex circumstances and emotions. On the other hand, the old generation feels it too. The societal breeze that gently places the elderly in a separate category. Centered around a family living in a town near Kawagoe, Saitama, it tells the story of Fuktaro Toyama, who transferred the company to his daughter's husband, alongside five elderly neighbors—the Burdened Quintet—causing a stir during the pandemic, and a family drama. It portrays the winds that blow when the true feelings of both sides clash.
