In the future of 2092, Mars has become a popular vacation destination for Earthlings. At 118 years old, Nemo Nobody (played by Jared Leto) is the last natural man who can still die. With his memories in disarray, he continuously recalls his childhood through various hypnosis sessions and interviews, but each pivotal moment in his life leads to a completely different life outcome. In these different versions, there is Anna (played by Diane Kruger), who becomes Nemo's "sister" after her parents' (played by Natasha Little and Rhys Ifans) divorce and remarriage, there is Elise (played by Sarah Polley), who struggles with depression and emotional instability after marriage, and there is Jean (played by Linh Dan Pham), an Asian girl with whom he has three children. Interwoven with theories of the Big Bang, superstring theory, and the nature of time, what is the truth of Nemo's life? The film was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 2009 Venice Film Festival and won the Best Fiction Biopic and the Golden Osella for Best Technical Contribution.
