In the late Shang Dynasty, King Zhou was tyrannical, neglecting state affairs and causing the people to suffer. One of the four great generals of the Shang, Li Jing (played by Yuan Hua), had a wife, Yin Shiniang (played by Yuen Qiong Dan), who gave birth to what turned out to be a meatball. Li Jing believed this was a monster born into the world, and when he cut open the meatball, it revealed a two-year-old boy named Nezha (played by Chen Haomin). Shiniang, eager to protect her son, sent Nezha to the Nuwa Temple for upbringing. There, he met Yang Jian (played by Qian Jiale) and Lei Zhenzi (played by Li Jiasheng), and the three of them entered the martial world together. Yang Jian's sister, Yang Lianhua (played by Ye Xuan), fell in love with Nezha at first sight. However, King Zhou indulged in beauty all day and favored Su Daji (played by Wen Bixia), bringing suffering to the people. Jiang Ziya led Nezha, Lei Zhenzi, and Yang Jian to persuade Wen Wang to support Wu Wang in leading an army against King Zhou. Together, they fought against tyranny. The well-known ancient Chinese classic "Fengshen Bang" has been adapted multiple times for the screen in the film and television industry across the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong. This 40-episode costume drama "Fengshen Bang," produced by Hong Kong TVB at the end of 2001, not only featured a large cast of top stars from Hong Kong but also incorporated plenty of action and comedic elements, offering a fresh take. This series reinterpreted the classic story and achieved great viewership ratings when it first aired in 2001.
