Starring Natalie Portman, Apple's new series "Lady In The Lake" is based on the bestselling book by Laura Lippman. Set in 1960s Baltimore, it follows housewife and mother Maddie (Natalie Portman) as a murder case reignites her career as an investigative journalist. This leads her to cross paths with another woman, Cleo, who struggles to balance work and motherhood, alongside a passionate commitment. Together, they will push the agenda for progress among Baltimore's Black community. The series is created by Alma Har'el ("Honey Boy") and Dre Ryan ("The Man in the High Castle," "Colony"), with the production company of Jean-Marc Vallée ("Big Little Lies," "Dallas Buyers Club").
