Tamura Kokoro (played by Takuchi Ryoma) has never met his father, Sano Bingou (played by Suzuki Ryohei), a police officer who was imprisoned for allegedly committing murder by poisoning before Kokoro was born. Despite all evidence pointing to Sano's guilt, he insists on his innocence even at the moment of his death sentence.
