This series is based on the book of the same name by journalist Justin Fenton, created by "The Wire" producers David Simon and George Pelecanos. The story chronicles the ups and downs of the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force, as well as the corruption and moral decay faced by an American city where the policies of drug enforcement and mass arrests come at the expense of real police work.
