Exploring intelligent learning in existence, a distant history professor learns about love from a robot in a timeless romance. The Hengji Intelligent Technology Company developed nine AI humanoid products—the Hengren series, with the ninth one, Heng9 (played by Huang Lifeng), focusing mainly on enhancing emotional aspects. The emotionally distant but intellectually curious Chu Yiping (played by Wu Bingchen) becomes the youngest professor in the school. After an accident at school dislocates his hand, his uncle provides him with a caretaker, an experimental intelligent robot that his company is secretly testing. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chu Yiping receives care from Heng9. The companionship of the lifelike robot stirs emotions within the professor, slowly making him feel more human, leading him to believe that the robot can provide everlasting companionship. But is it truly so?
