Just after gaining his freedom, Yaxie and Sam put on a show of cunning strategy to outsmart their opponents. Soon, at the request of a friend, the two travel to the US to investigate a Japanese cheating gang, successfully recovering losses for the casino and bringing shame to the Japanese. This paves the way for retaliation from the Japanese side. In the US, Sam meets a wealthy young lady, Tong Ke Ren (played by Nancy Chan), and impresses her with many romantic gestures, winning her father's approval, but at the cost of distancing himself from friends like Yaxie. Meanwhile, the head of the Japanese cheating group, the Miyamoto father and son, intensify their plans for revenge. To save Sam, Yaxie sacrifices his pride as a fast hand.
