During the Qing Dynasty, both Shaolin and Wudang had many skilled masters. Shaolin aimed to resist the Qing and restore the Ming, while the Wudang sect willingly served as thugs for the Qing; thus, the two sects found themselves in a hostile relationship. A Banner youth named Tong Qianjin (Luo Mang), having been an orphan since childhood and experiencing bullying from his relatives, harbored deep resentment towards his kin and dedicated himself to martial arts at Shaolin Temple.
