The story revolves around a football star card of the Liverpool goalkeeper that all kids want to have. Middle school student Joa's father died in an accident, causing Joa to become very timid; every night he relieves stress by training his grip strength with a handgrip given to him by his dad. The new transfer student, Mary, is beautiful and smart, and looks down on Joa's timidity. To impress Mary, Joa stands up to the school bully Tom-Errik but fails. Eventually, when he sees his best friend being bullied, Joa finally uses the strength he has built up to teach Tom-Errik a lesson.
