This is a story about a group of adorable vegetables that begins with an accidental incident. On a moonlit night, a group of "vegetables" traveling in a caravan are happily singing as they move along the highway. However, they accidentally get into a conflict with a small group mainly consisting of "clothes," sparking a battle. During their encounter with these foes, including clotheslines, boxing shorts, and porcupines, the vegetables' large cart faces an accident, forcing them to seek help at a run-down and desolate seafood market.
There, they meet a group of pirates who claim to be "too lazy to do anything." While waiting for a tow truck, they sit and chat with the pirates. The pirates tell a story about the protagonist, asparagus Jonah:
The story takes place long ago in another place. The protagonist, asparagus Jonah, is a messenger. However, he is not an ordinary delivery person; he is a messenger of God. Jonah loves his job, and one day, he receives a mission to deliver a message to the people of Nineveh in the ancient Assyrian kingdom.
Jonah does not like the Ninevites because they not only enjoy lying and stealing but also love to throw fish at people. Thus, instead of rushing to complete his task, Jonah boards a ship traveling in the opposite direction. The captain of the ship is indeed one of those "too lazy to do anything" pirates. On board, he also meets a carpet "merchant," a caterpillar named Larry.
Unfortunately, Jonah is swallowed by a giant whale. Inside the whale, another thrilling, exciting yet fun story unfolds
