This series is adapted from the podcast of the same name by ABC News/ABC Radio, telling the story of Elizabeth Holmes and her company Theranos, detailing their rise and fall. Amanda Seyfried plays Elizabeth Holmes, who was once described as "the next Steve Jobs," as she proposed a groundbreaking technology that could conduct tests with just a small amount of blood, attracting investments from several celebrities. However, in reality, neither she nor the company had the hard capabilities to achieve this, leading Elizabeth to commit continuous fraud, including launching a blood-testing device that could not produce accurate data; after everything was uncovered, Elizabeth now faces criminal charges, and if she remains not guilty, she may be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. Naveen Andrews plays Sunny Balwani, Elizabeth Holmes' business partner and secret boyfriend, who witnessed the rise and fall of Theranos. In the book "Bad Blood," Balwani is cited as one of the reasons for the fear culture within the company.
