"Tiny Pretty Things" is adapted from the book by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton, set against the backdrop of an elite ballet academy, documenting the ups and downs of a group of young people far from home who stand at the brink of success or failure. The Achie Ballet Academy is the only elite dance school in Chicago and is the corporate school of the city's renowned professional company City Works Ballet. Achie Academy is an oasis for various dancers: the rich and the poor, northerners and southerners, and those from different backgrounds.
