The drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Mo Bao Fei Bao. It tells the story of investment director Gui Xiao reuniting with bomb disposal police officer Lu Yanchen after ten years, where the two rekindle their relationship and find their way back to loyalty and faith. Gui Xiao (played by Tan Songyun) and Lu Yanchen (played by Jing Boran) are each other's first loves. After graduating from university, Lu Yanchen goes to another place to become a special police officer, while Gui Xiao faces family changes, leading to the end of their love. Ten years later, they reunite, discovering that they cannot suppress their feelings for each other and draw closer again. However, news of Lu Yanchen's arranged marriage troubles Gui Xiao. Lu Yanchen makes a decisive choice, and Gui Xiao realizes that he has only ever had her in his heart. They rekindle their romance and register their marriage. After marriage, Lu Yanchen is injured and falls into a coma during a mission.
