This is a family life emotional drama with a light comedy style. Everyone hopes to encounter good fortune that "drops from the sky." However, this time the "pie" that fell from the sky threw the life of Zhao Zhengda (played by Ren Chengwei) and his family into chaos. Always fond of buying lottery tickets, Zhou Yuqing (played by Niu Li) was still thinking about getting one before going into labor, with the numbers she and her brother-in-law Zhao Zhengyi (played by Liu Huan) wrote down together. While Zhou Yuqing gave birth to a healthy son, the jackpot prize was also revealed; it was the number that her sister-in-law Zhao Zhengguo (played by Huo Nifang) bought. But unexpectedly, Zhengguo encountered an accident and was hit by a car, becoming mentally impaired, and the lottery ticket went missing. As the main host of a radio station, Zhengda runs his midnight program smoothly, but home life has become a mess. After losing the lottery ticket three years ago, Zhou Yuqing always felt that destiny was unfair to her. Her unstable brother-in-law Zhengyi frequently stayed at their home, the ailing Zhengguo needed her care, and her three-year-old son Haohao couldn’t be separated from her… The trivial family matters turned Zhou Yuqing into a nagging woman just like her mother. An accidental argument with Zhao Zhengda made their father Zhao furious, leading to his hospitalization. Infuriated, Zhengda argued back, and to his surprise, Zhou Yuqing's casual remark about divorce hit the mark. At the moment she received the divorce certificate, Zhou Yuqing regretted her rashness. However, she stubbornly refused to give in, staying home for various reasons, and lived an awkward life of "cohabitation" with Zhao Zhengda. Both sides took turns making things difficult for each other. Zhengda worried Zhou Yuqing was trying to force him to make her leave; Zhou Yuqing aimed to make Zhengda realize that the family couldn't do without her. After the divorce, nothing went well for Zhao Zhengda. A midnight hotline call from the wealthy girl Song Tianran further complicated his life and work. Yet, as their relationship turned from enemies to friends, Song Tianran gradually became attracted to Zhengda's steadiness, humor, and sense of responsibility, surprisingly wanting to be accepted by him. Zhou Yuqing sensed their relationship and used various methods to try to separate them, inadvertently bringing them even closer. Zhou Yuqing brought home an old male classmate from elementary school, intending to provoke Zhengda, but it backfired and embarrassed her. Zhou Yuqing was laid off from her job and had to open a small noodle shop. To firmly hold onto Zhao Zhengda, she both made things difficult for him and took good care of Zhengguo, hoping to find a match for Zhengguo soon, which turned out to be Dashunzi, the taxi driver who often took Zhengda home. Zhengda criticized Zhou Yuqing's actions as "ill-intentioned," but it seemed that Zhengguo had developed feelings for Dashunzi. No one expected that Zhengguo's poor ex-boyfriend Cai Liang would suddenly reappear with the status of a wealthy man. The Zhao family firmly believed that the missing 5 million from three years ago was related to Cai Liang, thus, a money-chasing battle began. Cai Liang, about to enter marriage, tried every means to explain, yet couldn’t convince the Zhao family. To help Zhengguo regain her memory, the Zhao brothers pressured Cai Liang to care for her using both soft and hard tactics. However, Cai Liang's marriage faced a red flag and ultimately ended without a resolution. Zhao Zhengyi, who dreams big yet has no stable job, had a passionate but short-lived romance with Zhao Zhengda's assistant Xiaomai due to her materialism. Zhengyi accidentally became a marriage broker and fell in love with English teacher Ding Fangwen, thinking he found a happy ending, but encountered endless difficulties with his mother-in-law Fang Aqin (played by Pan Hong). The domineering Fang Aqin brought countless troubles to the Zhao family, and Zhengyi’s marriage with Fangwen nearly came to an end. Zhengyi inadvertently came across a "business opportunity" and started a "complaint company," only to find that Zhengda was among the customers. The two brothers felt the precious warmth of family bonding. Gradually growing stronger, Song Tianran felt unable to capture Zhengda’s true heart and chose to leave quietly. In constantly "stirring up trouble," Zhou Yuqing came to understand Zhengda and experienced the warmth of familial love, leading to their reconciliation. Zhao Changlu revealed a tremendous secret to Zhengda: Zhengda was actually the posthumous child left by the educated youth who abandoned him years ago. Zhao Changlu repented of his selfishness, admitting that he didn’t reveal the truth for fear that Zhengda, firmly established in the city, wouldn't care for Zhengyi and Zhengguo. Zhengda expressed that he had known this secret for a long time; in his heart, they were a loving family. Zhengda’s biological mother appeared, seemingly connected to the missing 5 million lottery ticket from three years ago... At the wedding of Dashunzi and Zhengguo, Zhao Zhengda explained that happiness in his heart is the mutual care of family. Surrounded by happiness, Zhengguo tripped over her wedding dress and fainted. When she woke up, she saw Dashunzi as a stranger, but her eyes lit up upon seeing Cai Liang. Zhengguo finally regained her memory, but before the family could celebrate, they were troubled by a sudden dilemma...
