In 1931, the Japanese invaders occupied Northeast China, attempting to exploit its abundant war resources to fulfill their ambition of obliterating China and dominating the world. This plunged the Chinese nation into a dark period. However, the Chinese people are a nation that fears no power and is willing to sacrifice for freedom. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, all ethnic groups, classes, and parties united to form a national anti-Japanese united front, beginning a hard-fought war of resistance at great cost. "Hard-Boned" is set against this historical backdrop, telling an unknown story of resistance. Whenever the Chinese nation faces peril, there are always some hard-boned individuals who step forward. On the black soil, where the north wind howls and snow swirls, a special armed force of the Anti-Japanese Coalition thrives — the Snow Wolf Vanguard of the Anti-Japanese Coalition. These hard-boned fighters have lived and died in the snowy mountains and forests for fourteen years, never yielding or stopping their fight, instilling fear in the Japanese. They are on the verge of welcoming the dawn of victory. The hard-boned characters in "Hard-Boned" hold only one belief in their hearts: the Chinese nation must not be humiliated, and the children of China must not be bullied. As the end draws near, the Japanese Kwantung Army, unwilling to admit defeat, attempts a desperate struggle. Their last hope rests on seventeen secretly constructed military fortresses along the Sino-Soviet border, dubbed the "Eastern Maginot Line." These fortresses present the greatest obstacle to the Soviet Red Army's counteroffensive. Without proper reconnaissance, immense sacrifices could occur; thus, to minimize casualties, intelligence on the Japanese troop deployments is essential. This is an almost impossible ultimate mission. Our hero, Yang Ziliang, the captain of the Snow Wolf Vanguard, voluntarily takes on this hard bone. A life-and-death struggle ensues as iron-blooded warriors clash head-on with the enemy...
