The Wang family has two unique daughters: the elder sister Lüpiao (played by Qin Lan) is an outstanding ballet dancer, while the younger sister Ziling (played by Zhang Jianing) is an ordinary girl who loves to daydream. They both fall in love with Chu Lian (played by Bao Jianfeng), the son of a family friend, but Chu Lian loves the unexpected Ziling. Their sweet romance is lost in Lüpiao's car accident, and out of responsibility, Chu Lian marries Lüpiao. Heartbroken, Ziling follows the older Fei Yunfan (played by Fang Zhongxin), who is nineteen years her senior, to marry overseas. Fei Yunfan goes to great lengths to help Ziling adapt to her new environment and start a new life.
