Since joining the U.S. Marine Corps in 2002, patriotic young man Jake Carter (played by Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin) has spent ten years serving and gaining experience around the world. This day, Jake finally gets a long-awaited vacation and returns to his hometown of Bridgeton, where he reunites with his two sisters: the recently divorced Amanda (played by Camille Sullivan) and the rebellious teenager Lily. After initial joyful greetings, some tensions inevitably arise. One day, Lily goes out with her drug-dealer boyfriend Darren and accidentally witnesses a murder. The murderers belong to a violent extremist group unhappy with the government’s current policies, and they kidnap the two before they can escape.
