"All the Light We Cannot See," adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, is a groundbreaking limited series that tells the story of a blind French girl, Marie-Laure, and her father, Daniel LeBlanc: they escape occupied Paris with a legendary diamond to prevent it from falling into Nazi hands. A brutal Gestapo officer is determined to possess the gemstone for his own selfish desires. Marie-Laure and Daniel soon find refuge in Saint-Malo, living with a reclusive uncle involved in the resistance, who sends secret messages via radio broadcasts. However, in this once-idyllic coastal city, Marie-Laure's path is destined to cross in an astonishing way with a like-minded individual: Werner, a clever boy conscripted by the Hitler regime to track illegal broadcasts, who shares a secret connection with Marie-Laure and, like her, believes in humanity and the existence of hope. The series intricately weaves together the lives of Marie-Laure and Werner over ten years, telling a story of the extraordinary power of human connection: a beacon that guides us through the darkest of times. Directed by Shawn Levy, the four-part limited series features Steven Knight as the writer, with newcomers Aria Mia Loberti and Nell Sutton portraying the older and younger Marie-Laure, respectively. Mark Ruffalo plays Daniel LeBlanc, Hugh Laurie portrays Uncle Etienne, Louis Hofmann is Werner, Lars Eidinger plays von Rumpel, and Mélanie Thierry stars as Madame Manek.
