In an accident, a young dolphin mistakenly enters a crab trap, resulting in a severe injury to its tail fin. Fortunately, it is discovered by a young boy and taken to the Clearwater Marine Hospital, where it receives a new name — Winter, and a whole new life unfolds before Winter. For marine mammals, the tail fin is incredibly important; it enables swimming, diving, surfacing, and breathing fresh air. Unless Winter, with its damaged tail fin, floats on the surface of the sea, it will suffocate and die. To save Winter, a group of skilled scientists come together, using their ingenuity to invent a prosthetic tail fin. With the prosthetic tail fin, Winter becomes a symbol of courage and hope.
