Produced in 1997 as a joint effort by the Film and Television Department of China Central Television, the Television Art Center of the Navy Political Department, and the municipal governments of Baishan and Linjiang, the 14-episode TV drama "Four Guarantees of Linjiang" (CCTV's broadcast version is 10 episodes) is one of the earliest dramas featuring Chen Yun as the main character. It won the third prize at the 18th Flying Apsaras Awards for Chinese Television Dramas in 1997. Screenwriter: Wang Shuming, Chief Director: Jin Tao. The entire drama begins with the victory of the New Kai Ling Battle, primarily reflecting the historical events from October 1946 to March 1947 when the Northeast Democratic United Army, under extremely harsh conditions, repelled four attacks by the Kuomintang army and maintained the southern Manchurian base area. It focuses on portraying Chen Yun's leadership abilities and distinct personality in the face of complex situations on the northeastern battlefield and the imminent threat posed by the Kuomintang army, as well as his deep feelings of kinship and camaraderie with the people and comrades, along with his meticulous thinking and humorous charisma. The drama also shapes artistic images of senior commanders from our army such as Xiao Jingguang, Xiao Hua, and Han Xianchu, as well as grassroots soldiers like Zhao Dashan, each with their unique character traits, alongside the love and support of the masses for the People’s Liberation Army.
