The story follows Tong Qigang (played by Wang Yizhou), who comes from a humble background, and Nationalist soldier Sun Wanquan (played by Wu Xudong). Initially at odds due to personal grudges, they join forces against the brutal actions of invaders in the face of the war of resistance and national salvation.
