A classic Huangmei opera, which won the Best Opera Award at the 1993 China "大众电视" competition. During their childhood, young master Cao Jintang fell in love with the maid Chen Jinge. As they read together under the fragrant red sleeves at night, Chen Jinge and Cao Jintang indulged in forbidden fruit. However, the dream was fleeting; when Cao Jintang achieved success, he married the wealthy girl Liang Huimei. As the new bride smiled, the old flame wept.
