In the jungle at the border, a drug bust operation is attacked and fails. Three years later, police survivor Li Guobao encounters "drug dealer" Wang Xu. Upon returning to the force, Li Guobao is appointed as the deputy captain of the narcotics team, while Wang Xu, originally an undercover officer, faces bleak prospects of rejoining the team after Deputy Chief Zeng Hai falls into a coma. Meanwhile, a drug manufacturing den is discovered in the city, and a bank robbery occurs. Wang Xu infiltrates the drug dealers with his exceptional skills and methods, using various underworld power struggles to investigate the crimes of the underground drug lord Lang Cai, while also uncovering that Li Guobao was once under Lang Cai’s control after the failed drug bust three years ago.
