Customs Inspector Ho-hui (Wang Xi) is stationed at the airport. In one operation, he successfully dismantles a major case involving smuggling drugs via human carriers, earning great praise. Meanwhile, another team from the Customs Investigation Bureau fails in their operation against a smugglers' group, and the team leader, Inspector Li, is injured and hospitalized. Consequently, Ho-hui, who has performed exceptionally, is assigned to lead this group. Upon his appointment, Investigator Ye Tianhua (Au Yeung Chun Wah) expresses strong dissatisfaction with Ho-hui's investigation methods, but Ho-hui remains unaffected and continues to work in his own way. One day, customs receives a tip-off that the leader of the smuggling group, Jiang Shiren, is preparing to flee the country. Ho-hui leads his team to apprehend him. Utilizing his wit, Ho-hui successfully subdues Jiang Shiren, allowing Tianhua to take the opportunity to beat him up. It turns out that Tianhua's girlfriend died in connection with his investigation into the smuggling group, and he vowed to completely eradicate the organization. Jiang Shiren is ultimately sentenced, and during his court testimony, Ho-hui develops feelings for the beautiful and capable prosecutor, Shang Yi (Tam Siu Huan), and praises her highly.
