"Bloodshed at the Qiantang River" is adapted from a true historical event and is one of the major cases since the founding of New China. It tells the story of 1950 when the Kuomintang spy organization "541 Working Station" infiltrated Hangzhou and planned the "Firework" operation, aiming to blow up the train carrying our leaders crossing the Qiantang River Bridge. A deadly duel between friend and foe began. In July 1950, less than a week after the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the Kuomintang reactionaries, who had retreated to Taiwan, believed that the time was ripe to "counterattack the mainland and restore the nation," preparing to mobilize troops. Chiang Kai-shek ordered his agents hidden in the mainland to attempt to strangle our newly born red regime in its cradle. One night in August, an underground scout from our security department, code-named "221," who had infiltrated the Kuomintang spy organization "541 Working Station," was murdered by agents under the command of their leader, "Tiger." Coincidentally, a young girl was also murdered by the picturesque West Lake. Upon receiving a report from the city's cultural bureau director Miao Yujie, Security Minister Lei Ming and female detective chief Zhang Xuyue rushed to the scene, conducting extensive and meticulous investigations into both cases. They discovered that our side had infiltrators from the Kuomintang and targeted the lakeside hotel for further investigation, but encountered numerous difficulties and lurking dangers. General Edward Hamilton, known as the "One-Eyed Father," who supported Chiang Kai-shek in his subversive activities against our red regime, initiated the "Firework" plan, and this confidential information was intercepted by us, though we lacked details. On that day, Lei Ming received a secret order from Beijing: the spy organization led by "Tiger" was directly targeting our number one leader, who was about to arrive in Hangzhou... Thus, a thrilling anti-spy battle of the republic began, ultimately ending in our victory.
