This drama tells a seven-year "Infernal Affairs"-like story between a Communist underground party member and a Kuomintang intelligence officer. Xue Shaoqing and Liu Yongqiang are classmates and close friends from the "Sanhe Radio School," serving in the Shanghai underground party of the Communist Party and the military control bureau of the Kuomintang, respectively.
