During the peak of the Spring Festival travel rush after the holiday, two rural youths, Ma Shaofei and Lin Xiuzhi, emerge from the Jiangcheng train station after meeting on the train. Ma Shaofei is unwilling to be a village teacher in a small town for his entire life, so he comes to Jiangcheng in search of dreams, but finds himself in a difficult situation due to not being able to find a job.
