In his childhood, Li Junjie (played by Chen Weiting) had a happy family, with both parents being top scientists. However, when he was 12 years old, his parents were sent to Ba City and met with an accident that led to their death. With no relatives willing to adopt him, he was sent to an orphanage in his hometown of Chonghai. 　　At the orphanage, Li Junjie met Shi Yunhao (played by Guo Jiahao), and Li Junjie's proactive protection allowed them to become each other's best friends. Later, they also met the brotherly and fatherly figure Chen Gang (played by Guo Guangping) and entered the Mo Shi training camp.
