Yang Xue (played by Wang Likun) and her boyfriend Yu Zhiyuan (played by Li Naiwen) share a deep relationship, but they face the troubles of social disparity due to Yu Zhiyuan's affluent family background. Yu Zhiyuan's mother, Hao Lirong, is skeptical of Yang Xue, fearing her son may be taken advantage of, and therefore is always on guard against Yang Xue.
