"Mazu" is a mythological inspirational drama reflecting the life and deeds of Mazu. It draws on over 30 widely circulated folk legends about Mazu, striving to restore the image of Mazu as a revered, approachable, and lovable sage, showcasing the profound Mazu culture and promoting Eastern maritime culture represented by Mazu culture. Unlike previous mythological dramas that prioritize entertainment over social education, "Mazu" will reflect the long history of Mazu culture and the rich connotations of virtue, kindness, and great love through the vivid and tortuous life experiences of Mazu. Additionally, unlike traditional mythological dramas where characters are born with divine powers, Lin Mo in "Mazu" is an ordinary mortal, and her journey to becoming a celestial being is a path of upward struggle. More than 30 folk legends, such as Guanyin delivering a child, pregnancy for over a year, and obtaining a charm from a well, will be interspersed throughout the drama, witnessing Mazu's touching moments with the heavens and her journey to enlightenment.
