This drama is adapted from the novel of the same name "Heart Protector" by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. The story tells of the millennium spirit dragon Tian Yao (played by Hou Minghao) who, on the day of his grand wedding, has his tendons pulled and bones stripped by his beloved Su Ying. The power of the Five Elements seals the dragon body in various places.
