The show tells the emotional stories of several families, and surprisingly, each family is facing divorce (or breakups among cohabiting couples). This inevitably raises the question: have family and marital relationships in real life become this fragile? Is the divorce rate this high? A friend who has been faithfully watching several episodes indignantly told me a few days ago that she initially wanted to see a romantic drama, but she simply can't continue watching it now. "The plot is too detached from reality! Where can you find such a daughter who desperately tries to break up her own family and insists on bringing in her parents' former lovers to make everyone divorce, causing all these troubles just to form two new families!" This daughter is certainly very modern, but it's hard to accept. And the parents actually let this little daughter manipulate the situation like this, resulting in divorces and remarriages, which feels just like children playing house. The main characters, Xie Xiaohua and Wu Qiaoyun, are a pair of livewires; after their divorce, they remarried and separately thought about getting divorced again, only to remarry yet again, leaving everyone puzzled (how much more work is the civil affairs department going to have!). The plot is so disconnected from life that no matter what, it’s hard to evoke emotions; the characters are busy with their divorces and marriages while we watch in amusement.
