To relieve stress, he goes to the mountains for research, where he unexpectedly encounters a poor girl, Ding Xiaoli (played by Xie Lan), who has a strong desire to study. With his help, she leaves the mountains to work while auditing classes at the university. Ultimately, she passes the adult college entrance examination and becomes a journalist.
