"The Last Bus" combines elements of comedy, courage, adventure, and mystery. At the beginning of the film, students head to the launch site of the "Sprite Ball" (a new type of robot designed to clean the environment). When tech billionaire Dalton Monkhouse (played by Robert Sheehan) unveils the AI magic ball, all the audience members present vanish, and thousands of similar incidents occur around the world. The students manage to return to an old school bus amidst the disaster, seeking answers at home, but instead enter a mysterious desolate world. The students realize they must fight back and embark on a road trip to find Dalton Monkhouse, trying to figure out what happened to their families. Along the way, they face a series of increasingly severe challenges, from towering garbage monsters to damaged spheres fueled by personal vendettas. They set aside personal differences and private grudges to form a makeshift family. The film is produced by the British company Wildseed Studios, with Paul Nevison as the creator and writer.
