In 1928, a powerful storm swept through Beijing. The head of the capital's police department imprisoned the major figures of the antique world under the pretense of celebrating a birthday. Just when the Five Veins were in crisis, Xu Yicheng stepped up to resolve the situation. After one crisis passed, another emerged; former friend Chen Weili was brutally murdered on the streets, and just before dying, he sent Xu Yicheng a note with faint marks of "wind" and "earth." Xu Yicheng began an investigation and unexpectedly discovered that Chen Weili's death was linked to the Japanese. A prince from the previous dynasty, Yufang, admitted that the tomb of Empress Shushen from the Eastern Tombs had been robbed and asked Xu Yicheng for help in resolving the crisis at the Eastern Tombs. Xu Yicheng sensed a connection between this crisis and his friend Chen Weili's death. To prevent the outflow of China's national treasures and to uncover the truth behind his friend's death, Xu Yicheng, with the help of royal descendant Hailanzhu, young member of the Five Veins Liu Yiming, Huang Kewu, and his friend Fu Gui, boldly entered Ping'an City and took decisive action to stop the outflow of China's national treasures.
