The story takes place in the early years of the Republic of China, during Yuan Shikai's attempt to restore the monarchy. At that time, Yuan Shikai's actions against the Southern revolutionaries were rampant. The tense situation, where everyone in the country felt insecure, serves as the backdrop for a series of exciting stories that unfold under such turbulent circumstances. The protagonist, Cheng Zifan, who is inherently kind, is framed on his wedding day and captured by military law, thrown into prison. In jail, Cheng unexpectedly encounters a mysterious old man, who, before passing away, reveals the treasure map of the notorious traitor Wang Zhi. After being released from prison, Cheng Zifan uses this treasure to take revenge on those who framed him. Throughout this journey, he is guided by revolutionary thoughts and gradually realizes that personal grudges, no matter how large, are not as important as the national liberation cause. He thus abandons his quest for revenge and instead joins the revolutionary efforts for liberation. The large-scale Republic of China drama "The Way of the World" has been in intense filming since it started in Hengdian at the end of September, with the entire crew working during the National Day holiday. The production team hopes to finish filming before the end of the year! With Chen Derong, the "Qiong Yao girl" who became popular on both sides of the Taiwan Strait through "Plum Blossom Ruins," and emerging star Qi Hang playing a pair of mother and son, recent photos released online show that Chen Derong looks too youthful, resembling a sister rather than a mother to Qi Hang! This year, as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of National Day, there has been a surge of red-themed and war-themed films and TV shows competing for attention! As an annual grand drama set in the Republican era, both director Li Liangcheng and Xingkong Impression have high hopes for the production. The involvement of many powerful actors, including Chen Derong, Jiao Enjun, Qi Hang, Yao Zhuojun, and Wu Qing, strengthens the show's backing! In the drama, Chen Derong plays Qi Hang's mother. She became extremely popular in her early years due to "Plum Blossom Ruins." Although she is over 30 now, her aura of an intellectual beauty has only grown. She is increasingly charming! Her appearance with Qi Hang does indeed resemble siblings instead of mother and son, making her the youngest mother! Qi Hang also expressed, “In the past, I used to call Derong ‘sister’ privately, and now I’ve mixed it up, calling her ‘mom’ now, haha!” Chen Derong enjoys this “son” both on and off-screen and has laughed multiple times, saying, “Hehe, Qi Hang is an ambitious boy; it feels wonderful to have a ‘son’!”
