Ren Xiaoxue (played by Zhao Lin) was determined to disappear before leaving Beijing. Just before boarding the plane, she threw away the SIM card from her phone, and once the plane arrived in Vancouver, she calmly evaded the gaze of the tour guide Lu Dahong (played by Jiang Wu) and vanished.
