The story takes place in an ordinary small family in a big city in China. In this family, Dad Gao Dadian and Mom have carefully raised our protagonist Gao Xiaodian for eight years, finally turning him into a short, not handsome, average child who doesn't excel but doesn't fail in school either. At home, Gao Xiaodian is always forced by his dad to eat the cakes he bakes.
