The story takes place during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. A Gui (played by Sun Xing), who is strong yet simple-minded, is brave and valiant, achieving numerous military accomplishments, which in turn incurs jealousy from He Shen (played by Wang Gang) and his brother He Lin (played by Li Yuze).
