Around 1990, immigrating to the United States became a dream for many people from China, especially artists. Beijing musician Wang Qiming (Jiang Wen) and his wife Guo Yan (Yan Xiaoping) arrived in the long-anticipated America, but their beautiful dream soon encountered setbacks.
