Burdened by a shattered romance, Ji Xinglei returns to his homeland after studying abroad, only to encounter a girl on the familiar streets of his hometown who looks strikingly like his deceased girlfriend, Li Xian! After a chase, Xinglei realizes that the girl before him is not the girlfriend he longs for deeply! She has a different background, different memories, and a different name! However, this girl possesses an inexplicably familiar aura that drives him to obsessively pursue Fang Xiaoyang. Xu Yongwei is Xinglei's college classmate. She has secretly loved Xinglei for many years but has never been able to touch his heart; she can only painfully watch as Xinglei falls in love with her friend Li Xian! Li Xian's death gives Yongwei the opportunity to accompany Xinglei through his dark period of life without regrets, allowing Xinglei to passively accept Yongwei! Little did they know, Xiaoyang's appearance would take Xinglei away, destroying everything and driving Yongwei nearly insane. In her childhood, Xiaoyang lost her mother and grew up under her grandmother's care in difficult conditions. But in the face of adversity, she remains cheerful and optimistic, bravely moving towards her life's ideals. Xinglei's presence disrupts Xiaoyang's life, and their romance arouses Yongwei's jealousy, as well as opposition from both families. At this time, childhood friend Li Gang also steps in to confess his long-hidden feelings for Xiaoyang, surprising her as she realizes that their long-standing friendship has transformed into something else, leaving her bewildered and lost! The overwhelming pressures of human relationships and obligations make Xiaoyang want to escape, but when Xinglei presents the shared token between them, "Lucky Star," Xiaoyang can no longer evade the entanglement of this fateful relationship! The Lucky Star is connected to a beautiful afternoon from when she was four years old, the day she received this generous gift from a strange little boy. That night, Xiaoyang's mother committed suicide... Since then, the Lucky Star has become Xiaoyang's spiritual support... and Xinglei turns out to be that little boy! As their romance develops passionately, Yongwei resorts to desperate measures to block them. She pressures Xinglei into marriage using the influence of their elders. The parents of Ji and Xu both urge Xinglei to marry Yongwei, but Yongwei's stepmother, Fang Zhiqin, firmly opposes the marriage! When Zhiqin sees Xinglei's father, she recognizes him as her ex-husband Ji Bohai, who caused her immeasurable pain! Years ago, her mother-in-law forced Zhiqin to divorce on the grounds of infertility, but after the divorce, Zhiqin discovers she's pregnant. She refuses to return to her husband’s family for help, falling into poverty and illness, leading to her suicide attempt that resulted in memory loss! Luckily, Yongwei's father, Dr. Xu Ziwen, rescued her and cared for her, leading to their romance and marriage! Although Zhiqin regained her memory years later, the passage of time had made it impossible for her to reunite with her family! This fact ignites a storm between the Ji and Xu families! In a desperate bid to win Xinglei back, Yongwei threatens to take her own life, resulting in severe injury to her right hand! The kind-hearted Xiaoyang cannot bear it and quietly withdraws her feelings, putting her love for Xinglei to the test once more! At this moment, Zhiqin develops severe liver cirrhosis and must undergo a liver transplant to survive. With no way out, Ziwen helplessly reveals an astonishing truth to Xiaoyang's grandmother: Zhiqin's true identity is actually Xiaoyang's biological mother! Moreover, Xiaoyang and Xinglei are half-siblings! Unaware of this, Xiaoyang agrees to donate a liver to save Zhiqin's life, but this transplant surgery leads Xiaoyang's biological father, Ji Bohai, to uncover her identity! As Bohai is filled with regret and guilt, he desperately tries to conceal the truth, forcing Xinglei to break up with Xiaoyang. However, this action only strengthens Xinglei's belief in love, and he decides to elope with Xiaoyang. On the eve of their elopement, Yongwei rushes in with Xinglei's grandmother, Ruihua, and mother, Weiling, to stop them. In her anger, Yongwei reveals that Xiaoyang is actually Xinglei's half-sister! Xinglei is devastated and, to protect Xiaoyang, pleads with everyone to tell her that he chose Yongwei and abandoned her… Subsequently, Xinglei accompanies Yongwei abroad to heal his wounds. Three years later, Xinglei returns to China, only to hear the news that Li Gang is marrying Xiaoyang! Unable to control himself, Xinglei goes to congratulate them but suffers a car accident on the way! This accident forces the truth about Xinglei's biological parents to come to light! More than twenty years ago, Weiling lost a child during a difficult birth, subsequently losing her uterus. Fearing her husband's family would reject her, she left Xinglei with the Peng family, pretending he was her biological son and raising him until now! Upon learning the truth about his identity, Xinglei struggles to forgive Weiling, blaming her deception for separating him from Xiaoyang and leaving him with regret! Xinglei negotiates with Li Gang and learns from him that Xiaoyang has been suffering from aftereffects of the liver donation and may not have much longer to live! Xiaoyang's indomitable vitality deeply moves Weiling, who decides to find a way to bring the two together. Weiling pleads with Li Gang to let go; her repentance and guilt finally touch Li Gang, leading him to give up his place beside Xiaoyang to the man Xiaoyang truly loves—Xinglei. Li Gang insists on canceling the wedding and returns the wedding ring to Xiaoyang! Xinglei takes Xiaoyang back to the beach where they fell in love, pointing to the meeting point of land and sky, saying, "That must be the end of the world!" He gazes at Xiaoyang and tells her: "No matter if it's suffering or joy; hope or despair, let me accompany you until the end of the world!"
